Street Photography

According to Elliott Erwitt, “photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… [It] has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” For me, street photography is about finding the beauty within banality, making remarkable out of the mundane, and marrying curiosity to the quotidian. The very nature of street photography is unplanned and unpredictable with the only constant being the circadian rhythm of the city. Working, commuting, or simply taking a break — every human interaction captured in the streets tells the story of a less glamorous yet highly important facet of our society. Street photography is the very story of what it means to be human and how we are all molded by the environments we navigate daily.
