"Amplify: Building a Fan-Based Climate Movement"
Published April 2024
Planet Reimagined’s Amplify project asks a simple question: can artists and performers who are concerned about climate change be effective messengers for focused climate action?
We did the research. We partnered with Ticketmaster, Live Nation, iHeartRadio, REVERB, and Climate Outreach to conduct an unprecedented study of thousands of live music fans.
Nearly three out of four fans told us they care about climate change and are ready to act — especially when asked by their favorite artists.
And we put the research into action. In the summer of 2024, the multi-platinum indie-pop band AJR partnered with Planet Reimagined (our co-founder Adam Met is the band’s bass player). AJR promoted specific local environmental policy actions across their sold-out nationwide tour. The result: 35,000 fan actions, including signing letters, leaving voicemails for their representatives, joining local advocacy groups, and stepping up in other ways in support of local climate solutions.
Now, Planet Reimagined is sharing this action research with artists and the entertainment industry with proven advice for artists including:
Use the stage to speak directly to fans through pre-show videos or brief conversations between the songs.
Use positive language to highlight climate solutions.
Encourage fans to participate in social and civic action instead of focusing on personal lifestyle changes.
"Deep Fake Frauds: When You Lose Trust in Your Own Eyes and Ears"
Published November 2024
We’re entering an era where deep fake technologies with the capacity to confound human perception are ushering in a tsunami of fraud and intellectual property theft that will not only cause billions of dollars in annual losses, but which could also result in “reality apathy,” whereby a contagion of forgeries will result in people no longer trusting what they see and hear.

"Common Grounds for a Clean Energy Future: A Case for Co-Locating Wind and Solar Energy on Federal Oil and Gas Land"
Published on June 14, 2023
The United States is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050—a goal that will require both an urgent shift away from fossil fuels and the rapid expansion of renewable energy generating capacity. This transition from oil and gas wells and coal mines to wind farms and solar panel arrays poses significant challenges: to the federal government that needs to ensure the nation’s energy security; to fossil fuel companies that need to remake themselves as renewable energy suppliers; and to the communities and families whose livelihood currently depend on oil, gas, and coal production.
This historic shift will also involve new demands on land, and in particular on the 245 million acres of public land administered by the Bureau of Land Management that make up 10% of the United States’ land area. Congress has already instructed the Department of Interior to deploy 25 gigawatts of power generation capacity on government-owned land by 2025, enough to power almost 5 million homes. The Biden Administration is set to surpass that goal and is asking Congress to set more ambitious targets.
This paper argues that the United States is currently overlooking one important and as yet unused resource in this shift to renewables—the nearly 23 million acres (as of FY2022) of federal land that are currently leased for oil and gas production and exploration. It proposes policy steps to incentivize energy land-sharing—the co-location of renewable energy facilities on land already leased for oil and gas production and exploration. This approach would result in a range of benefits to existing lease holders, many of whom are small “mom-and-pop” operators, as well as to surrounding communities, while accelerating America’s broader transition to a clean energy future.
"Effective Measures for Tackling Climate Change – An Analysis of the Divestment Movement"
Published on February 12, 2015
Climate change is real and it is a direct challenge to our national security.
Where the United States is concerned, climate change poses three core national security threats: global instability, military infrastructure and homeland security.
Seeing that a major component of climate change is carbon dioxide, a lot of blame has been placed on fossil fuel companies since they produce large amounts of emissions. The divestment movement is encouraging certain organizations and institutions to divest in these companies. The majority of these divestment campaigns are aimed at universities and their respective investments with fossil fuel companies.
This report will focus on how effective fossil fuel divestment campaigns in the United States would be in combating the effects of global climate change, as well as explore various solutions that aim to mitigate and eventually reverse the effects of our current accelerating climate change.
A2Q Magazine - Vol. 2, Issue 1
A2Q (America to Qatar) is a digital magazine that spans the work of artists and the insights of experts from the United States, Qatar, and the Arab and Islamic worlds. As a quarterly digital platform serving creatives with diverse perspectives in art and culture, A2Q addresses the subject matter with the aim of bridging cultural barriers and cultivating understanding.
For A2Q Magazine Vol. 2, Issue 1, I completely redesigned the layout and design of the magazine and authored some of the published pieces, including "Behind the Movement: An Interview with Dana Thai Burgess," as well as wrote the majority of the supporting copy throughout the issue.

Ísland : Annar Heimur
“Ísland : Annar Heimur” (Iceland : Another World) is my love letter to the country of Iceland following my trip in fall of 2021. The book feature several images that were captured during my almost week-long visit to the many breathtaking locations scattered around the country, from Svartifoss to Jökulsárlón at the base of the mighty Breiðamerkurjökull glacier. In an effort to capture the spirit of the nation and its people, the book also includes several Icelandic idiomatic sayings that provide more insight into the lore and lifestyle of the land of ice and fire.
Ardi / Artzi
The purpose of the “Ardi / Artzi” project is to explore the parallel and contrasting narratives, the domestic and international public sentiment, and the overall intersectionality represented by the recent protests and rallies in Washington, D.C. in late October/early November, nearly one month after the October 7th attack. In the spirit of the project’s title (Ardi (أريض in Arabic) and Artzi (ארצי in Hebrew), both meaning “my land”), the featured photographs on either side of each spread are arranged to symbolically (and sometimes explicitly) mirror their counterparts on the opposite page. While the images remain separated by their respective affiliation (supporting Palestine versus supporting Israel), this project seeks to uncover the unforeseen commonalities, the core values, and the shared pain possessed by both parties that may one day prove to be a force for unification over the relentless discord between two fiercely embedded identities.
Japan : the heart, mind, and spirit of a country
“Japan : the heart, mind, and spirit of a country” (日本 : 国 の 心 in Japanese) is both a visual and written documentary from a two-week journey in 2018 spent trekking across the culturally rich island nation of Japan. Keeping in mind the Japanese concept of “kokoro” (the combination of heart, mind, and spirit), the book explores different aspects of Japanese culture and tradition across its many forms, from food to festivals to temples to transportation. As a bonus, various quotes about Japan can be found nestled among the pages, offering sage insight into this wonderfully vibrant destination.
