About

With a career in strategic communications and creative design spanning almost 15 years, I have always possessed a passion for facilitating meaningful connection through the use of visual narratives and compelling storytelling mechanics. Having a penchant for photography since my youth, I love exploring the boundaries of this medium and its ability to connect viewers with the subject matter, to illicit an emotional reaction from them, and to forever alter their viewing perspective. Whether it’s street photography, natural landscapes, architecture, or foreign locales, I am always in pursuit of capturing space and time and our personal relationships with both. To me, photography isn’t just an invitation to bear witness to an intimate moment long past, but rather a provocation into our own narratives and the roles we too must participate in within our lifetimes.

As a freelance photographer based in Washington, D.C., I am often covering events that include embassy soirées, nonprofit fundraisers, or the after-party following the White House Correspondents Dinner. Beyond my freelance work, I am actively merging my professional and creative backgrounds with my lifelong passion for the environment. Currently, I am consulting with climate-focused organizations, such as Planet Reimagined (founded by platinum recording artist Adam Met of AJR) and Climate DC, to help bolster their communications strategies and outreach efforts. Ultimately, my goal is to use my creative pursuits to drive public advocacy and awareness surrounding the current social and environmental crises threatening communities around the world due to climate change and habitat loss. My personal dream would be to utilize my own photography as a way to champion the solutions combatting climate change and to promote the preservation of the fragile ecosystems that played a large role in much of my own life.

As an avid traveler and climate advocate, I dedicate much of my time documenting my love for the natural world and diverse human cultures through photography so as to inspire others to be better stewards of our planet and of the communities we encounter.
